Prospects Basketball Association (PBA) is a California non-profit corporation pending 501(c)(3) approval.  Headquartered in Santa Barbara, it was created to promote youth basketball by providing training, competition, mentorship, and educational opportunities to young athletes. It is the home of the Central Coast chapter of the nationally recognized Oakland Soldiers and the local-circuit PRO/SPECTS competition teams.

We welcome all levels of basketball experience to come and develop through the LevelUp basketball program designed by Darnell Campbell – and when ready our players are drafted onto PRO/SPECTS competition teams for local tournaments – and once they have proven their discipline, effort and skill, players can advance to the Central Coast Soldiers, representing the region at the AAU/Elite level.

We are currently assembling our PRO/SPECTS and Central Coast Soldiers Winter Season Teams.  This season runs December 2025 – February 2026.  All prospective players should complete the FIND OUT MORE to pre-register.  We will announce the Winter Teams on Monday, November 10.

Evaluation Schedule

Boys 3rd/4th Grade:  Wednesday, November 5th. 5-6pm

Boys 5th/6th Grade: Wednesday, November 5th. 6-7pm

Boys 7th/8th Grade: Tuesday, November 4th. 6-7pm

*We are hoping to expand our offerings for younger players and girls in the near future!
