LevelUp Competition Teams Becomes PRO/SPECTS

LevelUp, the basketball skills development program created by Darnell Campbell will become the foundation for the newly created PRO/SPECTS competition teams.

Campbell has used the past nearly decade to help countless number of youth athletes hone their skills through the LevelUp program he founded locally and took to regional competitions.

With that now comes a new venture with the Prospects Basketball Association,  a new California non-profit created to promote youth basketball by providing training, competition, mentorship, and educational opportunities to young athletes.

“The LevelUp basketball program has been a lifelong passion for me since I started coaching youth basketball 20 years ago with a focus on mental and skills development the right way. To see the program become a mainstay in our community and then to expand into the new PRO/SPECTS competition program, is a dream come true for me,” said Campbell, who will be the director of the program.

“I’ve been a member of the teaching community at local Santa Barbara area schools for over a decade now and I’m beyond thrilled to continue bringing the very best in competitive basketball to Santa Barbara with the PRO/SPECTS tournament teams.”

The team will begin practicing and playing this week, with future tournaments and exciting, yet to be announced opportunities for Central Coast players to participate in the near future.
